Data Controller
RetrofitReady is the data controller for all personal information collected through this website.
Who we are

What we collect and why

Where your data is stored
All personal data is stored on Supabase, our EU-hosted database provider. Supabase stores data within the European Union in compliance with GDPR. We do not transfer your data outside the EEA. See Supabase's privacy policy.
How long we keep your data
We retain personal data (name, email, phone, property details) for 24 months from the date of your assessment. After 24 months, all personal identifiers are removed and only anonymised statistical data is retained. You can request earlier deletion at any time at retrofitready.ie/my-data.
Who we share your data with
- SEAI-registered contractors — only where you have given explicit consent by ticking the consent checkbox on the results page. We share only your name, phone number, email address, county and upgrade interests — never your full assessment data. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@retrofitready.ie. We will stop sharing your details immediately and you can request full deletion of your data.
- Supabase — our EU-hosted database provider. Supabase privacy policy.
- Resend — our email provider. Used to send your grant report. Resend privacy policy.
- Stripe — payment processing for contractor subscriptions only. We do not store card details.
- We never sell your data to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers. Ever.
- Anonymous usage data is collected to improve the service. Eircode data is stored as 3 character routing keys only for analytics purposes.
Contractor business images
When claiming a listing, contractors may optionally upload a business logo or photo. If uploaded:
- The image is displayed on the contractor's public listing on RetrofitReady.
- Contractors must confirm they own the image or have permission to use it.
- A separate, optional permission may be granted for RetrofitReady to use the image on social media when announcing the claimed listing.
- Social-media permission is not assumed from uploading — it must be explicitly checked.
- Images are processed (resized, converted to WebP, metadata removed) and stored securely.
- Contractors can withdraw social-media permission at any time by emailing hello@retrofitready.ie.
- To remove a business image entirely, email hello@retrofitready.ie.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Correct — ask us to fix inaccurate data
- Delete — request deletion of your data (right to erasure)
- Object — object to processing of your data
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format

Cookie Policy
We use essential cookies only by default — these keep the site working and cannot be switched off. We use optional analytics cookies only if you choose to accept them. We do not use advertising, tracking or third-party marketing cookies.
